World’s best classic car dealers set to wow at Alexandra Palace

Classic & Sports Car - The London Show is proud to announce details of some of the world’s finest classic car dealers who will be displaying an incredible array of historic cars at Alexandra Palace this autumn.

Joining the world’s most famous collectors and motor manufacturers, Alexandra Palace will play home to the world’s most important classic car dealers including JD Classics, Hexagon Classics, Frank Dale & Stepsons, New Forest Classic Cars, Maranello Classic Parts, Graypaul Classic Cars and DD Classics.

Collectively, these world-renowned dealers will wow crowds with everything from the rarest Ferrari models to the finest Jaguars, pre-war Rolls Royce and Bentley and even modern day classics. And there are many more to follow; these are just a selection of retailers who have already signed up to
Classic & Sports Car – The London Show.

JD Classics has built a formidable global reputation as one of the world’s finest restorers and retailers of classic cars, stocking headline cars from the finest Aston Martin, Ferrari and Lamborghini to, of course, the world’s-best classic Jaguars. With many class wins at the Pebble Beach Concours of Elegance, numerous victories in historic racing including the Monaco Historic and now a Mayfair showroom to complement its impressive Maldon race and restoration workshops – not to mention its seven showrooms – JD Classics is a truly exceptional business. Derek Hood, owner of JD Classics, said: “We’re very excited to be involved in Classic & Sports Car – The London Show. Alexandra Palace is a sensational location for this event. Rest assured we will more than match its drama with a display of the finest historic cars.”

Hexagon Classics has sold classic and sports cars since the 1960s, building up an enviable network of contacts with a stocklist that encompasses the world’s best classics including Aston Martin, Ferrari and Porsche, from locations in Kensington and Fortis Green – the latter just a mile or so away from Alexandra Palace.

As well as selling Porsche and modern classics, the latter site has also recently become an official Lotus dealer too, its location just a stone’s throw from the 1950s Lotus Cars showroom in nearby Hornsey. In a nod to the original showroom, Hexagon Classics will be displaying an original Lotus Elite on its stand – among other head-turning classics.

Paul Michaels, Chairman of Hexagon Classics, commented: “We’re huge fans of Classic & Sports Car magazine, so we’re very proud to be involved with this exciting new London event. I have no doubt it will be extremely well attended - and the fact it is being held at such a majestic location as Alexandra Palace is the icing on the cake. Hexagon has more than 50 years experience in selling the finest classic and sports cars: our stand will reflect our expertise.”

Frank Dale & Stepsons is one the world’s finest Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialists, dealing in everything from pre-war Wraiths to 1960s Silver Clouds, with expert knowledge that can only be passed down through generations. Giles Crickmay, managing director of Frank Dale & Stepsons, said: “It’ll be fantastic to exhibit our expertise at a truly sensational London location. Our business is founded on expert knowledge and passion – visitors to the show can look forward to a very warm welcome on our stand.”

New Forest Classic Cars are specialists in the total restoration of one of the most iconic and desirable British sports cars, the Jaguar E-type Series 1 manufactured from February 1961 to July/Aug 1967, including the provision for upgrades. Daniel Smith, Senior Team Leader of New Forest Classic Cars, added: “We are looking forward to this event which certainly has the potential to attract many visitors both nationally and internationally. We will be showing off what we think are the finest prepared E-types in the world.”

Maranello Classic Parts has been the only company authorised by Ferrari to provide technical and sales support worldwide for over 50 years. It preserves Ferrari cars past, present and future and is the perfect partner for Ferrari. David Howard, General Manager, Maranello Classic Parts, commented: “Classic & Sports Car – The London Show has the potential to be one of the best historic car events in London. Daniel Donovan, owner and founder of DD Classics, has been selling classic cars since the late 1960s. Over the years, he has developed incredible international connections and established many classic car businesses in the London area – and beyond. DD Classics operates from a stunning showroom in Kew, south west London, and sells a wide range of the finest classics, from marques including Bentley, Ferrari, Maserati and Rolls Royce. “I’m very excited by the idea of a classic car show curated by Classic & Sports Car, said DD Classics owner, Daniel Donovan. “Both of us share passion and expert knowledge gleaned from many years’ experience.
