Che bella macchina! - at Gaydon

| 13 Nov 2010

Rod Mossop's '64 Giulia Spider's concours appearance was among the star cars at Gaydon's Italian Car Day on 29 August. He has had it for 31 years.
"I took it to Milan for the centenary celebrations - we crossed the Italian, French and Austrian Alps and never had the roof up," said Mossop, who's brought the car up to Veloce spec. In place of the twin-choke, down-draught carbs are twin Weber 40DCOEs.
Other interesting cars in the AROC fleet included an early-'50s Matta jeep and Ryan Higgins' '85 2-litre Giulietta.
Fiats and Lancias were there too, with Mike Rysiecki's '82 124 Spider and a wonderful '58 Appia Furgoncino which was completely original down to the factory jack and tools.
