Austin-Healey Sprites to appear at Melbourne GP

| 27 Feb 2013

The Austin-Healey Sprite Drivers’ Club has been selected to lead the parade lap at the Australian Grand Prix on 17 March.

The season-opening F1 race will put the 28 Frogeyes in front of a world audience of around 500 million people.

The club will also lead out the drivers at the supporting V8 Supercar Championship, as Mercedes joins the fierce battle between Ford and Holden.

Formed in 1966, the AHSDC has around 200 members, some of whom joined more than 40 years ago.
