C&SC exclusive: Win a classic rally experience worth £5000

C&SC has joined forces with the Historic Endurance Rallying Organisation to offer one lucky reader – with a friend or partner – a classic rally experience worth more than £5000.

The prize includes use of a fully prepared car (unless you’d prefer to use your own classic) plus free entry into the HERO’s 12-14 July Summer Trial through West Sussex that culminates in a prize-giving dinner at Lord March’s home, Goodwood House.

The event is open to pre-’84 cars and is aimed at amateurs or those with limited free time, while still being competitive enough for more experienced teams. There’s also the option of a more relaxed Classic Tour.

Subject to availability, the winner can choose from a comprehensive range of classics from the HERO Arrive & Drive fleet, including a Jaguar E-type, Triumph TR4 or TR6, MGB, Mini Cooper ‘S’, Porsche 911S, BMW’s 1602, or Latin exotics such as the Alfa Giulietta Spider and GTV 1750, or Lancia Fulvia Sport.

You can find out more in June’s edition of Classic & Sports Car or enter here right now. The competition closes on 20 June.

Eligibility: "4. Open to UK residents aged 18 or over". What about the Classic Cars Rallies fans on the continent? Crossing the Channel doesn’t seem so complicate. Should the British pilots be frightened by the foreigner’s concurrency ;-)? I don’t see any other reason.
Have a good fun.

Philippe, I will look into it, but I am pretty sure we are obliged to make it UK only because of the laws of running these competitions, not to prevent people from France coming over and driving on the wrong side of the road!

It was just for fun of course but I should have been interersted in confrontating my Sunbeam Alpine Serie II (LHD) to the wrong side of the road and, why not, winning a test in E Type.
