Ferraris set to smash world record in September

| 20 Jun 2012

An astonishing 600-plus Ferraris are to lap Silverstone in a bid to set a new world record.

The record attempt – for the largest-ever parade of Ferrari cars – is to take place on 15 September during the Ferrari Racing Days meeting.

Backed by Ferrari North Europe, which also masterminded a previous record of 385 cars in 2007 before the bar was upped to just under 500 elsewhere, the stunt has already attracted more than 600 entries, but organisers are aiming to top 1000.

Ferrari has pledged to donate £5 for every car entered into the world record attempt to BEN, the automotive industry’s own charity.
