Lotus and Alpine star at Race Retro

Famed marques Lotus and Alpine will be celebrated at Race Retro 2013 at Stoneleigh from 22-24 February.

Lotus is one of the most successful F1 teams in existence, with seven F1 Constructors' titles and six Drivers’ Championships. Many of the cars that powered them to victory will be on static display at the event.

Meanwhile, Alpine’s A110 won the first World Rally Championship. It will also be on display, and will provide demonstrations out on track.

The two iconic names will be highlights among hundreds of other competition cars – many taking part in live demonstrations, but there will be motorcycle displays and trade stands, too.

Adult entry starts at £20 (in advance), with children’s tickets at £5 Friday to Saturday and free on Sunday. To book or find out more, click here.

I admire Lotus since then and I agree that Lotus is one of the most successful F1 teams in existence. Meanwhile, speaking of Lotus classic cars, I found here that there is a reproduction of classic Lotus Seven sports car. Caterham is planning to grow beyond just making a modernized reproduction of the Lotus Seven, even though Caterham does a stunningly good job of it. A brand new Caterham sports vehicle, distinctive from the beginning has been, publicized as part of a joint venture with French car manufacturer Renault.
