Shelby tribute will go live on the net

| 30 May 2012

A celebration of the American automotive legend Carroll Shelby, who died on 10 May, will be broadcast on the web tonight.

Organised by Shelby’s charity – The Carroll Shelby Foundation – and his business – Shelby American Inc – the event will include a ‘Rev Your Engine’ salute to the life of the US icon and will take place at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles California, USA.

Jenni Shreeves, director of the Carroll Shelby Foundation, said: “We’re so excited to share this farewell tribute of an American Legend with all of the Shelby and automotive fans around the world, Carroll genuinely valued the people who admired and owned his cars. Giving them a chance to be a part of this tribute is truly what he wanted.”
