Alpine pays tribute to historic 1973 Monte-Carlo Rally

| 22 Jan 2013

Alpine will celebrate its superb one-two-three finish in Monaco 40 years ago at the Rally Monte-Carlo Historique from 26 January-1 February.

No fewer than five Alpine A110 Berlinettes will participate, headed by Jean-Claude Andruet (who drove the winning car in ’73), plus former Renault works men Jean Ragnotti and Jean Vinatier.

Team Renault Classic will begin in Reims, France – one of the six starts that come together in Valence, before heading to Gap and tackling the legendry Col de Turini en route to the finish in Monaco.

The news coincides with the rebirth of the Alpine brand, which was announced last November.
