Blowers gather for Benjafield’s Sprint

| 18 May 2015

Some of the world’s rarest and most valuable vintage vehicles are set to descend on Goodwood on 23 May for the Benjafield’s Racing Club’s latest gathering. Several Bentley Blowers are expected to take the track, joining an eclectic mix of automobiles ranging from a sublime 1907 Itala through to the latest cutting edge offerings from Tesla Motors.

An original Ford GT40 will also be competing against the clock in a series of timed runs, bringing the total value of the cars on show to more than £50million.

A parade of vintage Bentleys will be one of the highlights of the meeting, and a fitting way to mark the 25th anniversary of the Benjafield’s Racing Club, which was founded in 1990 to honour 1927 Le Mans-winner Dudley Benjafield.  The racer’s passion for racing, compelling company and good food are key values that the club strives to emulate.

“This event is all about celebrating these fantastic cars and allowing both drivers and spectators the chance to come together to share their passion for motoring,” said competitions captain William Medcalf. “We hope people will come along and enjoy the spirit of the event.”

Admission to the event is free, while those wishing to enter their vehicles are encouraged to email competition@benjafields.com
