A ‘one off’ race composed entirely of Ford GT40s is set to be one of the highlights of the 2013 Goodwood Revival when more than 140,000 descend on Sussex from 13-15 September.
As usual there’s a huge race programme, covering everything from the Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration – with cars such as Ferrari 250LMs, which celebrate their half-century, Aston Martin DB4GTs and AC Cobras – to the hustle and bustle of the St Mary’s Trophy.
The latter features saloon racers in the form of the Mini Cooper ‘S’, Lotus Cortinas and Alfa Romeo Giulia GT Coupés, all three celebrating their 50th anniversaries.
There will also be circuit parades including a tribute to Jim Clark, on the 50th anniversary of his (and Lotus’) first World Championship, plus period cyclists marking 110 years of the Tour de France.
