The championship is open to Groups 1, 2 and A Touring Cars covering racers that competed in the British and European Championships from 1972-’85 as well as pre-’66 Group 5 cars.

Talking about the 45-minute opening race Duncan Wiltshire of Motor Racing Legends, which organises the championship, said: “This event is set to be bigger than ever this year and has really cemented its place as the season-opening meeting for most people.”

The series will also appear at the Masters Festival (Brands Hatch, 25-27 May) as two 40 minute-races. One being held on the full GP circuit, while the other takes place on the Indy circuit.

The final events will take place at the Spa Six Hours Meeting (20-22 September) in Belgium and the Algarve Classic Festival (18-21 October) in Portugal.

Entry forms and regulations are available on the organiser’s website.
