BMW has launched its Classic Partner Programme in the UK.

The initiative guarantees manufacturer-approved support for sales, servicing and body repairs for classic models, promising the same level of care you would receive from the factory.

It’s currently being rolled out as a pilot scheme at four authorised BMW Classic Partners across the country.

These are Halliwell Jones Wilmslow in Cheshire, Sytner Stevenage in Hertfordshire, Group 1 Hailsham in East Sussex and Dick Lovett Bristol.

BMWs, from everyday classic cars to ‘M’ supersaloons, will receive authorised support from the UK’s first BMW Classic Partners

“By officially recognising these four retailers as part of our global BMW Classic Partner network, we are strengthening our ability to support customers who are passionate about preserving and enjoying their classic BMWs,” says Werner Pagenstert, BMW UK’s customer support director for aftersales.

“This programme ensures that specialist knowledge, heritage expertise and manufacturer‑approved standards are available locally.”

The UK’s newly certified workshops and dealerships are long-time BMW specialists with decades of experience with cars from Munich.

BMW has committed to preserving classic models in the UK

Phil Jones, aftersales director at Halliwell Jones Wilmslow, is a classic BMW owner, while Dick Lovett Bristol is the marque’s longest-serving UK dealer.

At Sytner Stevenage, master technician Paul Travers has worked on BMW models for more than 30 years; head of aftersales Alun Clarke has been involved with BMWs for 20 years; and the firm’s restoration and repair experts, led by bodyshop manager Peter Panico, have more than a century of experience between them.

Adam Hook, a technician at Group 1 Hailsham, cares for BMWs in his spare time: “Restoring my 1996 BMW E36 3 Series with my son turned machinery and metal into something far more meaningful: shared time, pride and lasting memories. This vehicle will pass through generations,” he says.

BMW hasn’t announced plans to expand its Classic Partner Programme in the UK, but says: ‘Learnings from this pilot will help inform the future development of BMW Classic services nationwide’.
