Wave of classics will engulf Cheshire

| 23 May 2012

More than 500 classics will amass at a Capesthorne Hall for the 34th Classic Car & Motorcycle Show this Sunday (27 May).

More than 300 club vehicles, from more than 20 clubs, are already booked in and organisers expect another 300 private vehicles to join the fray on the day.

Owner clubs confirmed include the Morris Minor Owners’ Club, the Jaguar Enthusiasts, the Triumph Dolomite Owners’ Club, the Merecdes Benz-Owners’ club and Lancashire Capri Owners’ club.

Vehicles taking part in the all-day concours will be categorised by decade with cars such as Wolseleys and Rileys in the pre-1950s section, and MGs, Mercedes, Fords, Vauxhalls, Triumphs and many more making up the 1950, ’60, ’70s and ’80s categories.

Meanwhile, Ferraris and other exotica will fill the Sports and Convertible section – and there’ll be a running commentary throughout the day’s judging.

Classic ’bike lovers will be well catered for with hundreds expected and, as always, there will be a mix of trade and autojumble stands.
