Lights, Camera, Action! Revival photo competition launched

| 28 Aug 2015

Classic & Sports car has teamed up with Credit Suisse, sponsors of this year’s Goodwood Revival (11-13 September) and organiser of the Historic Racing Forum, to offer budding snappers the chance to win free tickets to next year’s event. Credit Suisse has decided to expand its ever popular photography competition for accredited media, which has been a much anticipated feature of the Revival for the past three years, by inviting amateur photographers to take part.

Last year's overall winner and holder of the perpetual trophy – as decided by Lord March – was José Maria Pueche, who won both the Media Moments and Atmosphere categories. Click here to see the winning images.

The Goodwood Revival is one of the most anticipated and universally celebrated events on the international classic car calendar – and not just for the stellar lineup of racers packing its grids, which this year includes all six original Shelby Daytona Cobras. Packed crowds wearing period dress, fantastic paddock access and a ban on all things modern make the event a photographer’s dream.

For the first time, Credit Suisse is giving amateur photographers the chance to go toe-to-toe with the professionals to capture images that encapsulate the spirit of the event across three categories: ‘Action’, ‘Atmosphere’ and ‘Legends’.

For Action, we are looking for on-track driving and pit lane and paddock activity, for Atmosphere images that capture the event from a non-racing perspective and for Legends a snap of your favourite star driver.

To be in with your chance of winning the competition, all you have to do is share your images via Classic & Sports Car’s social media channels – but remember to use the hashtag #RevivalPhotos
