Photography exhibition reaches Edenbridge

| 1 Dec 2014

Acclaimed photographer Stella Scordellis' A Drive Down Memory Lane exhibition has made its way to the EVE gallery in Edenbridge, Kent following its inaugural outing at Chartwell, the family home of Sir Winston Churchill.

The display focusses on classic and super cars, and represents the early days of motoring through to modern exotica. Included in the exhibition are two cars that were photographed outside Chartwell – a 1921 Lanchester 40hp and a 1935 Rolls-Royce 20/25.

A 1948 Tucker Torpedo is also one of the subjects. The car hadn't been shown in public since 2008, when it won Best in Class at the Goodwood Festival of Speed Cartier Style et Luxe Concours d'Elegance. Only 50 examples were produced, of which this is the penultimate.

The exhibition will run from 6 December to 2 January.

The town of Edenbridge is no stranger to motorsport, having previously witnessed Formula 1 legend John Surtees drive through the town with his collection of classics.
