Rare Maserati racer to feature at Le Mans and Goodwood

| 10 Apr 2013

A super-exotic Maserati Tipo 151 is to be raced during the Le Mans 24 hours weekend on 22-23 June and at the Goodwood Revival from 13-15 September.

Five decades after its last appearance at La Sarthe, the car will compete in the Le Mans Legends support support race.

Open to cars including Aston Martin DB2s, C and D-type Jaguars, plus Ferrari 250LMs, the event takes place just a few hours before the famous endurance race gets under way.

The Maserati will then compete in the Revival’s blue riboned race the one-hour, two-driver RAC TT Celebration for cars built from 1960-’64.

Almost destroyed during a crash at Le Mans in 1962, chassis 006 has since been completely restored.
