‘Flat floor’ E-type to be restored by CMC

| 3 May 2013

The 1961 Jaguar E-type that caused a stir at Bonhams – when it sold for £109,020 – is to be restored by Classic Motor Cars of Bridgnorth.

The roadster was the 60th car to come off the production line and is totally original, having covered just 65,000 miles from new.

CMC’s managing director Nick Goldthorp said: “The car will be undergoing a full ‘nut and bolt’ rebuild.

“The amazing thing about this E-type is that every original part is there, although in a very rusty and corroded condition.”
