BMW’s E30 M3 celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026 and a brand-new collaboration is fast approaching to mark this milestone.
Lego and the German car manufacturer have joined forces to create a new Lego Speed Champions version of this much-loved classic model.
The 358-piece set stands 17cm (6.7in) long and 7cm (2.8in) wide once completed.
This mini M3 costs £22.99 RRP and is available to pre-order now, here.
It will become available from 1 August, after which you can buy it via the Lego website, from BMW dealers across the UK and Europe and on the marque’s website, and also at Lego shops.
An E30 BMW M3 matching the anniversary model will be on display in Berlin this August
If you’re thinking the diminutive E30 BMW M3’s distinctive livery looks unfamiliar, you’d be right.
The design is unique to this project, developed for this anniversary kit by the BMW and Lego teams, drawing inspiration from the M3’s motorsport heritage.
The look isn’t quite that of Roberto Ravaglia claiming the 1987 World Touring Car Championship, nor Bernard Béguin and Jean-Jacques Lenne en route to victory on the Tour de Corse that same year, but it’s definitely eye-catching.
