In his traditional workshop in Valencia, Spain, metalworking wizard Aarón García Venancio is best described as a young coachbuilder of the old school.
“We do everything from crash repairs to full body recreations,” says Aarón, who once served an apprenticeship with Swiss master René Plancherel.
“He left his native Lausanne for Valencia,” explains Aarón, who met René while working at Saica Classics, a local restoration business that sadly shut its doors soon afterwards.

Saica’s enthusiast owner had begun racing his own cars at historic events, creating the Saica Classic Motor Sport team.
In addition to a Porsche 911, TVR and Jaguar E-type, the latter to Lightweight specification and each painted white with blue stripes, was an extraordinary Pegaso Z-102 Serra Spider, used for an edition of the 1000 Miglia retrospective.
One of Aarón’s first assignments at Saica was to strip down this exotic car for restoration.
