Best Large Club Stand went to a mouthwatering display of Grand Prix machinery from the Bugatti Owners’ Club, including a grid of ‘Baby’ Bugattis
Lancia Monte-Carlo Group 5 Turbo
A combined display of 12 cars from the Lancia Motor Club, Beta Boyz and Monte-Carlo Consortium – spanning late-1920s Lambda to a stunning Monte-Carlo Group 5 Turbo – was voted the Most Interesting Selection of Cars
Morris Minor Owners’ Club
A brilliant ‘Hatches, Matches and Dispatches’ display from the Morris Minor Owners’ Club – featuring newlyweds, a district nurse’s car and a working hearse – landed the gong for Best Themed Stand
Volkswagen Golf Mk1
A brace of immaculate early examples featured on the Mk1 Golf Owners’ Club stand, with pride of place going to an avocado green left-hand-drive 1.1
Rolls-Royce Merlin V12
A glorious Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 drew lots of people onto the C&SC stand, brought along by David Irwin of Historic Aero Engines
TVR 420SEAC
The TVR Car Club rounded off a busy 12 months by deservedly winning the gong for Club of the Year. Steve Ducker’s dazzling ex-works 420 SEAC took pride of place at the Tatton Park show in June

Best Club Run or Rally in the C&SC Awards went to the Yorkshire Dales Figaro Rally, masterminded by Jane Ellison-Bates of the Figaro Owners’ Club
Jaguars at Windsor
In a year that also included the outstanding 60 Years of the Seven and Roverfest – both record gatherings – Best Club Show or Event went to the Royal Windsor Jaguar Festival, organised by the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club. It drew 1200 cars and raised a fantastic £100,000 for the Prince Philip Trust
