Power play
If you like your car to have a bit of celebrity history, then this 2007 Ferrari F430 Coupé might pique your interest.
Its first owner was none other than current President of the United States of America, Donald J Trump.
Whether this increases or decreases its appeal for you, here’s the story of this Ferrari – and it is for sale right now.
In the driving seat
Bidding is open now with Rockstar Car Auction on this 9395-mile coupé.
This example of the Ferrari 360’s successor is finished in Rosso Corsa and its cabin is trimmed in tan leather.
All the gear
And if you love seeing the Prancing Horse on more than just cars, you might be interested to learn that this F430’s original Ferrari-branded cover, seat covers and matching carry bag will all be sold with it – and these are, apparently, in great condition.
Likewise the car has benefited from long-term storage in a climate-controlled environment.
Sign on the dotted line
Here is the proof that the 45th and 47th President of the United States owned this Ferrari.
When the winning bidder takes ownership, he or she will get documentation including the car’s original title signed by Trump, as well as a warranty card in his name.
Fire power
One of the big appeals of any Ferrari is its engine and this F430 Coupé is no exception.
This model introduced a new-generation V8, a 4.3-litre unit with 483bhp and 343lb ft torque.
Special protection
While a red Ferrari is not an unusual choice of colour, this example might be better kept than others.
That is because a paint protection film (PPF) has been applied to the front, the skid plates and the bumper cover, helping it stay fresher for longer.
Turns heads
The Ferrari F430 broke cover in 2004 and even now, 21 years on, it still looks both sporting and elegant.
Its Pininfarina-designed shape, crafted in collaboration with Frank Stephenson, carried little over from its 360 Modena predecessor.
Attention to detail
There are, however, nods to Ferrari’s history in the F430’s design.
For example, the two intakes in the front end that draw in air to cool the V8 take their shape from Phil Hill’s 1961 Formula One world championship-winning Ferrari 156.
At the rear, you can glimpse hints of the 2002 Enzo in the tail-lights.
Lap of luxury
With this model, Ferrari increased cabin space and slightly flattened the top of the steering wheel, to improve the driver’s view of the road.
This example’s interior appears to be in good order and you can see its carbonfibre trim – aluminium inserts were the other option available from new.
Ready to go
This Ferrari F430 Coupé comes to auction freshly serviced, which should mean it’s ready to be enjoyed.
Let’s hope its next keeper takes the odometer’s reading past the 10,000-mile mark.
Some show, but plenty of go
That said, this car has some history of being displayed as well as driven.
It appeared at an edition of the Ferrari Cavallino Classic Sports Sunday event at Mar-a-Lago, the resort in Palm Beach, Florida, owned by Trump.
The clock is ticking
Bidding is open now on this 2007 Ferrari F430 Coupé on American car auction website Rockstar Car Auction, and closes on 9 March 2025.
What might it sell for? Last year, the hammer fell at US$1.1m on a custom 1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT roadster that had also been owned by Trump, and for this Ferrari the auction house predicts someone will pay more than US$1m to call it their own.
