FORD ZEPHYR/ZODIAC/EXECUTIVE MKIV
4-door 5-seater saloon/estate.
Last totally-British big Fords (Granadas were part-German) and not a good way to go out. In theory, promising chassis with all-independent coil spring suspension and four-wheel disc brakes, but spoilt by lumpy V4 engines on Zephyr 4, poor roadholding, and Detroit-inspired styling with vast 'aircraft carrier' bonnet and short boot lid. Power steering optional for first time on a British Ford, and all manner of trim and transmission options. Executive was most up-market (from end '66) - power steering standard on V6 models for '68 model year.
