Replacement for 304 model, using much 304 engineering, including transverse front-drive engine/transmission. Like most Peugeots of the period, neat, worthy, reliable, utterly understated, and of no 'classic' interest whatsoever. Conventional as-you-would-expect specification of Cortina-sized car, with anonymous styling. Few diesels sold in UK. Extensively re-engineered as 'new 305' in mid-eighties.
