Carefully product-planned four-cylinder family derived from 30 range, with same basic structure, styling and suspension. At first sold as 1565cc 20TL and 1995cc 20TS, but all-change for eighties with 1.6 dropped, larger 2.2 petrol engine added, along with a diesel. Always an automatic option, and five-speed gearbox standardised during 1979. Small 'four' was ex-Renault 16, 2-litre was Peugeot design shared with 505 and other cars. Replaced by 25.
