TOYOTA CRESSIDA

4-door 5-seater saloon/estate car. 2-door 5-seater hardtop coupé.

Yet another confusing name change, but Cressida was in fact a replacement for Corona Mk II, with new square styled body shells on a 97ins wheelbase, and comprehensive re-shuffle of existing Toyota 'building blocks'. This time with MacPherson strut front end and coil spring/beam exle rear, all UK cars sold with same 90bhp (DIN) 2-litre single-cam engine, and a 100mph top speed. You can't get excited? Neither could anyone else...
