ROVER 75 P4

Saloon.

'Auntie' represented screaming heresy in 1949 with her slab sides, column shift, and cyclop's eye spotlamp (thought this last was dropped early '52 with the revised grille design). Hydraulics (for 1951) preferred to hydromech brakes; floor shift on '54s. High quality at low cost, but early cars now sought-after.
