Fiver-bearing Cortina GT engine and all-synchro 'box - though some early cars retain MGB engine/'box. Preferable bolt-on body on S2, plus lengthened wheelbase, optional alloy wheels; also Cortina MkII rear lights. S3 standardises alloys, has uprated engine: recognize by Ford MkIV vents on front wings.
