Czech classics take to the mountains for annual rally

| 9 Sep 2013

Nearly 60 classic and vintage cars took part in Veteran Car Club Ostrava's recent Rallye Moravia.

A superb selection of vehicles ranged from a 1928 Skoda to a 1976 Porsche 911 and included plenty of Czech-built cars such as a Tatra 57 as well as vehicles from neighbouring countries such as Wanderer W40 and, DKW F5 and BMW 327.

Veteran Car Club Ostrava is 40 years old and has run the annual event, founded by first club president Jiri Vaněk, since 1990.

The 2013 running took three days and was concentrated on the Beskydy Mountains, with Petr Verdonic from Bratislava taking the spoils in his 1930 Aero 500.
