InterClassics Maastricht marked its quarter-century anniversary by showcasing a stunning selection of classics from previous years alongside some outstanding new entrants.
The centrepiece of the show was 'The Masterpieces', a concept which involved choosing one particular classic to represent each of the 18 'themes' from previous years.
Among the highlights were a 1935 Mercedes-Benz 500K type W29 Roadster (above) – one of only 29 in existence – which represented the 2011 theme of 'Mercedes: 125 Years'.
The 1956 Jaguar D-type XKD 606 (above) that won the 1957 Le Mans 24 Hours was another big draw, as was the elegant 1953 Fiat 8V Supersonic (below), a car dreamt up by Giovanni Savonuzzi at the famed Ghia carrozzeria.
The latter was of particular interest at InterClassics. It first appeared at the show in 2003, as part of the 'Designo Italiano' theme, and it is thought to be one of only 10 that survive, out of 15 originally built.
Away from the 'Masterpieces' showcase, plenty of the best exhibits came from some of the many clubs attending the event.
