A 1969 Mercedes 280SL Pagoda was top-seller car at Barons’ sale at Sandown Park, on 13 December. The convertible, with body-coloured roof, made £28,012.
A chopped 1973 Citroën D Special continued the convertible theme, making £25,000.
Other cars of note were a 1965 Mk1 Lotus Cortina and a 1967 Rolls-Royce MPW Saloon, each of which sold for £17,932.
