Four-wheeled fun promised in Cornwall

Thousands are expected to flock to this weekend’s Pentillie Festival of Speed in St Mellion.

Centered around Pentillie Castle's 860m drive, the event bring’s competitive motor sport to the south west, in the form of an MSA hillclimb run by Plymouth Motor Club.

Away from the course there will be static displays of vintage, classic, sports, retro and modern cars.

More activities will be available at the Land Rover Experience and Roger Young Land Rover demonstrations, which offer visitors the opportunity to take to the mud.

Airborne action shall also be on tap with a display from the Abarth stunt plane and a parajet.

Club displays are set to be out in force and are going to be joined by a giant six-lane Scalextric track, an F1 simulator, laser clay-pigeon shooting and archery.

Meanwhile live music comes courtesy of Cornish Jam and Swingology.
