Join our classic convoy to The London Show

| 20 Oct 2015

A convoy of classic cars lead by the Classic & Sports Car team will strike out across the capital on Saturday 31 October for the second day of The London Show at Alexandra Palace – and you could be in it!

The eclectic band of classic cars will meet at the historic Ace Café for breakfast, coffee, and a chance to admire the other cars on the run, as well as chat to like-minded enthusiasts. At 9:30am, the convoy will wind its way past Wembley Stadium to Alexandra Palace, where a special parking area reserved for classics will give direct access to the event’s show halls.

All you need to do after buying your show tickets is to book your classic car parking space – we’ll email you about this shortly after receiving your ticket order. Once your space is confirmed, simply call 07752 411728 or email info@thebmrc.com to register your car for the convoy.

Ace Café

It doesn’t matter whether there are three of you or 300 – we’re just happy to be joined by fellow enthusiasts.

The Ace Café first opened in 1938 and, after being rebuilt in 1949 following an air raid on the nearby Willesden railway yard, soon began to attract motorcyclists, who raced their tuned machines on the North Circular. The Café eventually closed in 1969 and was used as a tyre-fitting shop for a number of years, until Mark Wilsmore and members of motorcycling priest Bill Shergold’s 59 Club revived its fortunes by organising a reunion in 1994, which led to it reopening in 1997.

The journey to the Classic & Sports Car Show at the historic Alexandra Palace will take participants along the same hallowed asphalt made famous by the rockers of the 1960s, via the city’s North Circular.
