Rarities gather at Amberley

A pair of Stanley steamers, two Trojans and Colin Groves' remarkably original '26 Fiat 501 were among the pre-war rarities at the Vintage Car Show, held at Amberley Working Museum on 11 April.
Sunbeams and Talbots featured strongly too, with Tony and Jo Woodliffe's Sunbeam 16/18.2hp and Michael Pierce's mint '34 Talbot 105 being prime examples.
Former Connaught works driver John Young came in his '54 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn. He was admiring Derek Thorpe's Talbot 105 tourer nearby. "I've had more rides in Talbots than anything else," Young enthused. "My dad was a distributor before the war but I've never owned one."
