It is not just cuckoos and flowers that seem to bringing spring forward yearly, Penny Farthing Fairs' boss Jeff Needham reported early sightings of a rash of classics at his Huddersfield Autojumble on 27 March.

Needham said: "I always used to consider that the start of May was when classics got back on the road after the winter hibernation, but it looks like owners are keeping them taxed and insured all year round now and bring them out as soon as the weather turns nice."

The Huddersfield event attracted a wealth of interesting classics including a brace of Bentleys, a 1956 Beetle, convertible Cadillac, Jowett Jupiter, Rover P4, Volvo PV444 and more, including a pair of BSA Gold Stars.

The next Huddersfield jumble is on 1 May, details here.
