Jim raises cash for BEN

An open evening hosted by Jim Stokes Workshops on 2 August has raised £430 for the motor industry’s benevolent fund – BEN.

The Gordon-Keeble Owners’ Club and the Bognor Regis’ Motor Club attended the event bringing with them cars such as a MGs, Minis, a rally-ready Mk1 Ford Escort Mexico, a Lotus Elan and numerous Gordon-Keebles.

Company boss Stokes gave visitors an insight into how his business had grown from a shed-based operation into one that has branched out into four companies that deal with everything from parts, to restorations and bodywork.

He said: “The evening appeared to be a great success, we are delighted to welcome such a great group of motoring and motor sport enthusiasts and our own chaps enjoy passing on some of their extensive knowledge.”
