This 1955 Maserati A6GCS/53 Frua Spider made its UK debut at last year’s Concours of Elegance

A stunning selection of more than 500 vehicles will be on display in the Grade I-listed palace’s Fountain Gardens across the weekend.

Around 70 of them will be vying for the Best in Show trophy, which was awarded to a rare 1955 Maserati A6GCS/53 Frua Spider at last year’s event.

A couple of cars have already been announced for Concours of Elegance 2024.

This Talbot-Lago T150C SS Teardrop Coupé will be one of 70 cars competing for the Best in Show trophy at Concours of Elegance 2024

A Figoni et Falaschi-bodied Talbot-Lago T150C SS Teardrop Coupé will be one of the stars.

Fewer than 30 examples of this roadgoing racer were built in the late 1930s.

It will be joined by a Maserati 3500GT Spyder Vignale Prototipo.

The prototype differed slightly from the production 3500GT Spyder; a restyled front bumper, modified front grille and different tail-lights were among the changes.

The Club Trophy celebrates the UK’s classic car clubs

The Levitt Concours – for classic cars with female owners – will return in 2024, as will the Thirty Under 30 concours, which aims to encourage the next generation of classic car custodians.

Check out the Club Trophy, too. Presented by The Royal Automobile Club and supported by Classic & Sports Car, this award celebrates the UK’s car club community and the winner gets a spot in the main concours in 2025 – this summer, look out for the 1968 Aston Martin DBS that won the Club Trophy last year.

You can also join the Classic & Sports Car Tour on Sunday 1 September, starting at Beaverbrook, a hotel in the Surrey Hills, and following a relaxed route to Concours of Elegance, after which participants display their cars at Hampton Court Palace and enjoy hospitality.

It is open to owners of classic, sports and GT cars, both classic and modern, and costs £290 per person.
