1930s Delahaye to return to Le Mans

A 1930s Delahaye 135 and a Mirage GR8 are among the fantastic machinery set for a return to La Sarthe as the early entries for the 2012 Le Mans Classic are revealed.

The Delahaye, which has Le Mans history, will join a diverse pre-war grid that includes more of the usual suspects from Bentley and Lagonda.

Later grids will feature the likes of the Talbot Lago Monoplace and a DB HBR that raced at Le Mans in 1957.

Other cars with period form at in the 24 Hours include the 1963 Lister Coupé and the Mirage GR8.

No fewer than three Ferrari 512s have been signed up already as well as the normal bevy of Porsche 917s.

More participants will be revealed on 10 January, but the entries so far can be seen here.
