This Cumbrian meeting welcomes all vintage and classic vehicles, and funds raised from your £5 entry fee (per vehicle) will be split between two charities: Blood Bikes and Hospice at Home.

The event combines an organised run and a static display.

Spring Transport Show

If you want variety this Drive It Day, you’re sure to find it at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum.
Vintage cars, lorries, buses, vans, military vehicles, motorbikes and, possibly, more will descend on Leyland, if previous runnings are anything to go by.
What’s more, it is free to show your classic car at the Spring Transport Show, so what are you waiting for? Plus, you’ll get discounted museum tickets, meaning you can enjoy everything this site has to offer.
The museum is a mere 3-minute drive from junction 28 of the M6 motorway – keep a look out for the brown road signs that’ll show you where to go.
St George’s Day Run

Despite this event’s name, it is taking place on Sunday 26 April and promises a well-organised, stress-free day of motoring.
Lancashire Automobile Club will supply informative roadbooks for this run of around 100 miles.
The day will kick off with hot drinks and bacon sandwiches at the Foxfields Country Hotel, set in the picturesque Ribble Valley.
Participants will wind their way through Sabden, Widdop Moor and Sowerby Bridge to a rest halt at the Saddleworth Hotel, before taking on the return leg that will visit Baitings Dam and Bacup then finishing back at Foxfields for a light buffet.
It’s open to all classic (and ‘cherished’) cars and entries cost £60 if you’re not a member of the club – £50 if you are.
SCOTLAND
Dundee Museum of Transport

Dundee Museum of Transport (DMoT) is kick-starting its 2026 events calendar with a Drive It Day gathering on 26 April.
And this will be the final one held at the museum’s Market Mews site before the DMoT moves to the nearby Maryfield Tram Depot, which is currently being restored.
Classics are welcome from 10am until 4:30pm. To take part, email manager@dmoft.co.uk to put your car on the guest list.
In 2025, attendees included a Ford Racing Puma, Porsche 944, Volkswagen Beetle, Chevrolet Corvette and a Toyota Corolla inspired by the Castrol-liveried WRC car.
Historic Wheels Club

The Historic Wheels Club was established more than five decades ago, making it one of Scotland’s oldest classic car clubs.
It’s celebrating Drive It Day 2026 with a trip across some of the country’s finest roads, finishing at the Commando Memorial, around a mile from Spean Bridge in the Highlands.
The organisers promise ‘great company and plenty of time to enjoy the views along the way’.
The day will start at the Decora shop in Elgin, Moray, where participants will collect a packed lunch.

Highland Classic Motor Club

The Highland Classic Motor Club is once again celebrating Drive It Day with a get-together and a drive in the Scottish Highlands.
This year’s route is yet to be announced, so keep an eye on the website for more details.
This free-to-attend event is open to all classics, from pre-war pioneers to modern-classic sports cars, and you don’t have to be a member to take part.
Last year’s 37-strong entry list included a 2002 Porsche Boxster, 1986 Ford Capri, 1978 Saab 96 and a 1973 Jaguar E-type.
The 2025 route was 80 miles long, so expect this year’s outing to be a similar distance.
Drive It Day Scotland

The 14th edition of Drive It Day Scotland, organised by Classic Car Tours, is a one-day trip that’s open to all makes and models.
The 120-mile journey starts with breakfast at the Dakota Eurocentral hotel, near Glasgow. The first car will leave at 9:15am, with the rest of the classics waved off at 30-second intervals.
The route will go through Peebles, Stow and along the River Tweed to Floors Castle, in the Scottish Borders.
After lunch, the group will drive to the Jim Clark Motorsport Museum in Duns.
Everything is included in the £108 entry fee (or £168 for a team of two), but it’s limited to 30 spaces, so don’t leave it too late to apply.
SOUTH EAST
National Motor Museum

In recent years, enthusiasts have gathered at the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu to mark Drive It Day – however these get-togethers have been organised by clubs and individuals, and their classics have remained in the public car park.
But this year, Beaulieu is hosting an official Drive It Day celebration. From 9:30am, owners of cars built before 2006 can park their classics in the museum grounds.
Participants have a chance of winning the Best in Show Award, which will be decided by a public vote.
Advance adult tickets cost £17.50 per person, a portion of which will be donated to NSPCC Childline.
Bodle Street Green

Classic cars, motorcycles, steam engines, tractors and much more – this Drive It Day gathering has it all.
In 2025, around 350 vehicles showed up at Bodle Street Green Village Hall.
Participants can join the one-hour road run to explore the local area.
Entry is free and visitors can grab a drink and slice of cake in the village hall, where there will also be a miniature railway track in action.
More refreshments will be available from The White Horse Inn.
This annual event has already raised more than £40,000 for charity. This year, the raffle will raise funds for St Wilfrid’s Hospice and the village hall.
Isle of Wight road run

The Isle of Wight Morris Minor Owners’ Club is hosting its annual round-the-island road trip, but this year it’s extending the invitation to all classic car owners.
The route is split into three legs, so participants can join for the whole trip, or just do part of it.
The group will meet at Coppins Bridge car park in Newport from 10:30am, ready for an 11am start.
From there, the club will drive to The Old Smithy in Godshill for a lunch stop, via Sandown and Shanklin.
At 1:30pm, the convoy of classic cars will head for the coast road near St Catherine’s Point and drive to Fort Victoria Country Park in Yarmouth.
The final leg, from Yarmouth to Newport, will start at 3:30pm.

If you can’t join in but you’ll be on the Isle of Wight on 26 April, look out for the cars on their adventure and remember to give them a wave.
Castle View Windsor

Castle View is a popular coffee stop for those enjoying the local roads on Drive It Day.
This retirement village is located in Windsor, in Berkshire, not far from west London and less than 15 miles away from the edge of the Chilterns National Landscape.
What’s more, 2026 marks the fifth anniversary of Castle View’s Drive It Day get-together.
Visitors can expect a varied line-up of vehicles coming and going between 10am and 2pm – in previous years, everything from Lamborghini supercars to WW2 Jeeps have turned up – and there’s no need to book.
However, if you’re planning to arrive in a group, call 07778 554666 in advance to give the organisers a heads up.
Home-made cakes, baked by Castle View residents, will be available to buy, too.
Loose Alliance

The Loose Alliance car club is less than 18 months old, but its big membership is already a broad church.
More than 50 vehicles are expected to take part in its 2026 Drive It Day event, from a 1928 Swift to modern supercars.
Participants will gather at London Gliding Club from 10am, before Councillor Sally Kimondo, the Mayor of Dunstable, waves the convoy away at midday.
After a photo opportunity in Aldbury, there will be a relaxed cruise to Wendover Woods, where there will be parking for up to 150 cars.

Bicester Scramble

One of the largest classic car events on Drive It Day takes place at Bicester Motion.
This year’s second Scramble – a huge gathering that attracts an eclectic mix of vehicles from across the UK – will mark the centenary of the former RAF airfield’s Technical Site, which is now the cornerstone of this popular classic car sanctuary.
The organisers will take visitors back to the 1920s, when Bentley conquered Le Mans, Sunbeam set speed records and Bugatti ruled Grand Prix circuits.
The Orchard Lawn will host a celebration of vee engines, from twin-cylinder motorcycles to big-capacity supercars.
April’s Scramble is already sold out, but you can keep up with the festivities on social media.
Dover Transport Museum

Come along to Dover Transport Museum from 9:30am to display your classic car at its Drive It Day event. Exhibitors get free entry to the museum.
Inside, visitors can enjoy the site’s collection of Norman motorcycles and other classic ’bikes, plus vintage commercial vehicles, a 1920s steam roller, Channel Tunnel memorabilia and a model railway.
The museum is open until 4:30pm, but last entry is at 3:30pm.
It’s located just outside the town centre, around three miles from the Port of Dover.
Visitors to the area can explore the nearby Kent Downs National Landscape, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that stretches to the borders with London and Surrey.
Chiddingstone Castle

Classic cars can park outside the Grade II-listed Chiddingstone Castle between 11am and 4pm on Drive It Day.
If you’re a classic owner and you’d like to exhibit your vehicle at this event, tickets cost £14.02; it includes entry to the house and a £1 donation to Childline. Passenger tickets cost £9.71 per person. All makes and models are welcome.
If you’re not planning to arrive in a classic car, entry to the castle grounds and the car show is free, but you’ll have to pay to go inside the historic house.
Admission is £14.76 for adults, £13.17 if you’re aged 60 or older and £10.28 for children (aged 5-15). Under fives go free.
Mile of Minis

This year, Drive It Day coincides with Mile of Minis, an annual celebration of Alec Issigonis’ miniature marvel.
The event is a fundraiser for STOP.BREATHE.THINK, a mental-health charity which offers free support to children and young adults, however, we’re sure lots of Minis will be sporting the FBHVC’s Drive It Day plates, too.
The plan is for a road trip from MINI Plant Oxford to the marque’s headquarters in Farnborough, around 60 miles away.
There will be a prize for the oldest participating Mini. Entry for a team of two costs £28, plus each crew is expected to raise at least £40 for STOP.BREATHE.THINK.
SOUTH WEST
Re:Fuel

If you’re exploring south-west England on Drive It Day – with a group of friends or on a solo road trip – then why not stop at Re:Fuel’s dedicated cars and coffee venue? It’s next to the M5 motorway, around 15 miles from the city of Exeter.
Plus, it’s not far from some beautiful countryside, like Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, and the Blackdown Hills.
All makes and models are welcome. Entry is free and it’s open from 9am to 1pm.
As well as the Drive It Day gathering, there will be a dedicated hot-hatch meet, too.
If you’re hungry, you can grab a bite to eat inside Re:Fuel’s on-site restaurant, The Steamer. It sells locally sourced food and it has even got a line-up of racing simulators, too.
Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club at the Haynes Motor Museum

Members of the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club (JEC) will be gathering at the Haynes Motor Museum between 10am and 4:30pm.
The club will have an allocated spot in the car park, where Big Cat enthusiasts can gather to talk about their vehicles.
The meet was originally organised by the JEC’s XJ-S faction, but it’s open to all Jaguar models, from early Swallow Sidecars to the battery-powered I-Pace.
Members can enjoy 30% off entry to the Haynes museum, which is home to more than 300 cars and ’bikes.
Fans of the Coventry marque will surely love the British Icons: Driven by Innovation exhibition, which includes a 1993 Jaguar XJ220.
Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum

The Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum’s Drive It Day gathering will be a multi-club celebration.
The venue in south-west England will mark the finishing point for a number of organised road trips, including the Horton Historic Vehicle Club’s c20-mile run from the Cross Hands Hotel in Old Sodbury (click here to find out more), and the Cavalier and Chevette Club’s adventure from Newbury (more information here).
Once at the Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum, which you’ll find between Bath and Swindon, enthusiasts can show their vehicles for free.
The site’s classic car collection will be open from 10am, with discounted entry (£10 for adults and £4 for children) to mark Drive It Day 2026.
Crash Box & Classic Car Club

Everyone is invited to the Crash Box & Classic Car Club’s show in Teignmouth, Devon.
It takes place on The Den, a green space next to the seafront and a short walk from the town centre.
Classic cars can come and go between 10am and 4pm. Attendees must stick to the 5mph speed limit when driving on the show field.
The organisers are appealing for volunteers to help out on the day. Email info@crashboxclub.co.uk if you’re interested.
There are plenty of shops and cafés nearby.
Last year, around 300 cars were on display, from pre-war pioneers to modern-classic cars.
This free-to-attend event will likely draw a crowd in the seaside town.
The Classic Motor Hub

The Classic Motor Hub is marking Drive It Day 2026 with an event at its Cotswolds base, near the chocolate-box village of Bibury.
Classic cars will be parked around the venue’s spectacular showroom, located on a former RAF base – and visitors can step inside the hangars to see some of the stunning cars in stock.
The on-site café and gift shop will be open, too. Plus, there will be live music.

WALES
Chepstow Classic Car Show

Hundreds of classic cars will take over Chepstow Racecourse from 10am to 3pm to mark Drive It Day 2026.
In previous years, entries have included a Bond Bug, a Citroën ID, pre-war Austins, Land-Rovers, MGBs, Ford Mustangs, Minis and even a Heinkel Kabine microcar. There will be classic motorcycles, too.
As well as historic vehicles, there will be plenty of stalls selling automobilia, an autojumble, plus food and drink stands.
Admission to Chepstow Classic Car Show is £6 per person; under 16s go free, but they must be with an adult. Email rafaelfairs@aol.com for more details.
Ferryside Classic Club Glan Y Fferi

Ferryside Classic Club Glan Y Fferi has organised a members-only event on Drive It Day.
If you live in the area, there’s still time to join this group of car lovers, which meets regularly and hosts local events.
Or, you can keep an eye out for the convoy of classics on its c50-mile road trip from Carmarthen to Brechfa.
Participants will be given a roadbook to follow on the day. Entry costs £5 per car, and the money raised will be donated to charity.
The route will stop at The Forest Arms in Brechfa, where members can buy lunch if they wish.
YORKSHIRE
Eden Camp Modern History Museum

The Eden Camp Modern History Museum in Malton is hosting its second-ever Drive It Day gathering.
If you’re arriving in a classic car, make sure you register in advance; tickets cost £5 per person and include entry to the museum, with proceeds going to NSPCC Childline.
The historic site is a former WW2 prisoner of war camp; 22 original huts have been transformed into immersive exhibitions which explore Britain in the 1940s.
Alongside the line-up of cars, Coast & County Radio – a community station that was established in 2016 – will be playing live music throughout the day.
Drive It Day East Yorkshire
Where: Hutton Cranswick Sports & Recreation Association, East Riding of Yorkshire, YO25 8ES

A road trip across East Riding of Yorkshire and North Yorkshire with the region’s MG Car Club.
Entry is £15 per person, which includes a roadbook, breakfast and an afternoon meal at the end of the tour, in Hutton Cranswick.
Money raised from this event will go to Hutton Cranswick Sports & Recreation Association. If you can, make sure you also support the FBHVC and buy a commemorative Drive It Day plate.
