The Le Mans Classic is back for 2022 and so too is Classic & Sports Car’s Reader Run, your chance for you and your classic to join our team on the road trip to the Circuit de la Sarthe.
It’s a much-anticipated return, the event last being held in 2018, thanks to the pandemic, but the wait will soon be over when 2022’s 30 June-3 July edition rolls round.
Our Reader Run, in association with Travel Destinations, starts in Portsmouth on Thursday 30 June, with a night-time ferry crossing to Caen.

Once in France, participants will follow a roadbook taking a picture-perfect route to the circuit, where on the Friday night you’ll be invited to the Classic & Sports Car BBQ.
General entry and paddock passes are included in the price, so across the weekend you can catch the action on track, as well as being sure to check out the ranks of classic cars in the clubs parking area.
The return journey comprises a relaxed return to Caen for a 4:30pm crossing on Monday 4 July, arriving at Portsmouth at 9:15pm.

This year we have three accommodation options, the prices for each based on two people per car.
You can choose to camp in the private Travel Destinations campsite at Porsche Curves with its own viewing area.
Pitches are 7m x 5m and there’s access to shower and toilet facilities. This option is £685 per person.
If you want to be at the track but with a roof over your head, the £1015 option at the pop-up Flexotel village might be for you.
Each lockable room has twin beds for adults (bedding and towels are provided), electricity, and private, serviced showers and toilets.

The final option takes you off-site to the Ibis Pontlieu hotel, a 10-minute drive from Tertre Rouge.
There’s secure, gated parking, wi-fi, a restaurant and a bar. This is priced at £1065 per person (based on two people travelling in one car, sharing a double or twin room).
