Classic & Sports Car – FIVA events 2019

Diaries at the ready: FIVA has confirmed two classic car events for 2019. And what’s more, they’re for everyone, not just FIVA members.

First is the Austria Classic Rallye, which will run from 22-26 May across 650km (around 400 miles).

The route will take in the dramatic scenery and architecture around Vienna, Burgenland, the Wachau Valley and Semmering, and FIVA (the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens or international federation of historic vehicles) is opening the event to all cars built until 1980, with a valid FIVA ID card.

Then, a few months later, it’s the FIVA World Rally, Andorra, which will build on the success of the organisation’s World Rally in Wales this summer.

Run between 1-7 July in Andorra and Spain on the breathtaking roads of the Pyrenees, this is a non-competitive 500km (310-mile) tour for cars at least 30 years old. In addition to the road-based action it will also feature a static show and concours.

And if two-wheeled machines are more your thing, look out for the FIVA World Motorcycle Rally, Croatia, on 27-30 June.

Either way, if you fancy taking on a different motoring challenge in your classic next year you should start by heading to the FIVA website for more information.
