Elton John Maserati set to cross the block

| 1 Feb 2016

A 2005 Maserati Quattroporte that once belonged to pop music legend Sir Elton John will go under the hammer at Classic Car Auctions’ March sale with an estimate of £15-17,000.

The car was ordered new by the singer and was well-specified, including a number of optional extras such as DVD player, six CD auto changer and two sets of headphones. It also comes complete with Maserati’s original welcome letter, an unused personal 24-hour concierge members card and a matching leather-covered key tray, tool kit, driving gloves and car cover.

Famous name aside, the 2005 saloon seems like good value. With just 28,000 miles on the clock there’s sure to be plenty of life left in it, and a fresh MoT that’s valid until January 2017 will give its future owner a degree of reassurance.

In addition to the Elton John Maserati, auction house CCA has recently sold a Range Rover once belonging to football star David Beckham.
