Greatest supercar of all time poll launched

| 1 Jun 2016

A massive global poll has been launched to find out once and for all which supercar is the greatest ahead of The Classic & Sports Car Show’s return to London’s historic Alexandra Palace from 28-30 October.

As well as helping to decide which cars will star in the event’s multi-million pound centrepiece display, your vote will also put you in the running to win one of five pairs of tickets to the headline event, plus a VIP tour.

After weeks or argument, debate and compromise our expert jury has selected its most significant supercar from every decade or era. While some of your favourites may be missing, we are happy that for performance, historical importance and sheer beauty this is the cream of the crop.

Each era of supercar contains three models, ranging from the fire-breathing Metallurgique Maybach through to the very latest LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder – but it will be up to you to determine which car best represents its decade. The winners will then be put on display at The Classic & Sports Car Show, where the overall victor will be unveiled live in front of showgoers.

“It’s hugely exciting that we will be naming the greatest supercar of all time at The Classic & Sports Car Show this autumn,” said James Elliott, Classic & Sports Car group editor. “We’ve burned the midnight oil to come up with probably the most in-depth list of supercars ever compiled – a true century of pioneering machines.”

“There are some incredible icons, from household names such as Ferrari, Lamborghini and Bugatti – but also some of the more unsung heroes of the pursuit of going as fast as possible. I can’t wait to see what people vote for from each decade and it’s going to be a real show-stopper bringing the finalists to Alexandra Palace this autumn.”

By casting your vote you will automatically be entered into a draw to win two Gold tickets worth £100 a pair, which not only grant you privileged early access to the event halls and the Gold Lounge, but also include a show programme and a glass of fizz.
